Canadian country artist Aaron Pritchett is launching a new phase of his career with the release of “Beer Drinkin’ Opportunity,” a single that doubles as both a return to his roots and a shift toward greater creative control.
Released Friday, the track is the first under his newly formed company, Big Wheel Entertainment, which now oversees both his recorded music and live touring business. The move signals a broader strategy by Pritchett to consolidate his career operations and take a more direct role in how his work reaches audiences.
“This is such an exciting new time in my career,” Pritchett said. “I’m so proud of the team we’ve built with Big Wheel Entertainment, and even more excited about the music we’re creating together. ‘Beer Drinkin’ Opportunity’ felt like the perfect way to kick off this next chapter.”
The single leans into the high-energy style that defined Pritchett’s early success, built around guitar-driven production and a hook designed for live audiences. It reflects a deliberate return to the sound that helped establish him as a mainstay in Canadian country music while introducing the first piece of a broader body of work expected later.
The release also highlights a restructuring of his team. Longtime tour manager DJ Paquette has taken on a new role as booking manager, while Jordan Pritchett joins as producer. Industry veteran Casadie Pederson is serving as an A&R consultant.

Pritchett said the new structure allows him to bring multiple parts of his career under one umbrella, giving him more oversight of both creative decisions and business strategy. That approach comes as more artists seek independence in an industry increasingly shaped by direct-to-fan platforms and self-managed releases.
While the new single emphasizes the upbeat, party-ready sound associated with his catalog, Pritchett said future releases will explore more personal material.
“I’m diving deeper than I ever have before,” he said. “There’s a lot more to share, both musically and personally, and this is just the beginning.”
Pritchett has spent more than two decades in the country genre, earning 13 Top 10 singles and a No. 1 hit with “Better When I Do.” His Gold-certified track “Hold My Beer” remains one of his most recognized songs.
The launch of Big Wheel Entertainment positions Pritchett among a growing number of established artists opting for independent or hybrid business models, balancing established sounds with new creative direction as they navigate changing industry dynamics.
