Urban Outfitters is redefining holiday cheer this season with the launch of its “Happy LOLidays” campaign.
With a fresh spin on holiday classics, this multi-channel initiative brings together affordability, trendy gift options and playful nostalgia, turning gift shopping into a fun experience rather than a seasonal stressor.
The campaign kicks off with the “UO Carol,” released on October 24, 2024, as the cornerstone of Urban Outfitters’ holiday effort.
Directed by Laurence “Baz” Morais, the UO Carol features an original song by TikTok sensation Lubalin and a dance challenge choreographed by Lars Gummer, creating an interactive experience for shoppers.
Through this campaign, Urban Outfitters aims to provide shoppers with a holiday shopping destination that meets them “where they naturally engage, on social—right in the heart of trends, buzz and can’t-miss moments,” says Head of Brand Marketing Cynthia Leo.

In this festive setting, classic Urban Outfitters collectibles like Monchichi, Moomin and Miffy join beloved items from fan-favorite brands, including Owala, Gourmand and Fujifilm.
UO mainstays like the BDG Mae Printed Piled Fleece Zip-Up Jacket and Out From Under Hoxton Sweatpant also take the spotlight, appearing in playful, surreal holiday scenes that bridge the digital and physical.
Urban Outfitters’ stores and website transform into holiday playgrounds filled with curated “LOLiday Gift Guides.”
These guides showcase a diverse selection of affordable, trend-focused gifts catering to various budgets and interests. From quirky “Gifts for Your Situationship” to practical “Gifts That Are Mid (priced),” the campaign captures Urban Outfitters’ signature charm.
The guides are stocked with culturally relevant and viral products, including contributions from UO’s in-house lines like BDG, Out From Under and Standard Cloth, as well as top-tier partnerships with brands like UGG, Camp Snap and Crosley.
Chief Merchandising Officer Marybeth Mahoney Cahill shared her excitement about the campaign, saying, “We hope our customers will find UO to be a place of discovery—for the most unexpected and standout gifts, for everyone on their list.
